Here are some common FAQs we receive about applying to NTU School of Social Sciences.
How do I apply to NTU?
You would need to apply under the respective group of applicants you belong to (e.g., GCE A-Level applicants, local polytechnic or International Baccalaureate diploma holders, etc). Find out more on the admissions requirements and procedures here.
If you have exceptional talents and/or outstanding achievements that should be considered alongside your grades, you could apply via Aptitude-based Admissions (ABA) instead!
What is the cut-off point / grade profile for SSS programmes?
The grade profiles, GPAs and programme places may vary from year to year, depending on the number and performance of applicants as well as the number of places available. The grade profiles also take into account offers that were made under ABA. View the admission grade profile to all NTU undergraduate programmes here.

Is there an entrance / writing test for SSS?
There are no entrance or writing tests. However, selected applicants may be asked to attend an interview.
What are the available undergraduate degree programmes SSS offers?
Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) — Single Majors
Economics Psychology Public Policy and Global Affairs (PPGA) Sociology
Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) — Double Majors
Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) - Single Major with Integrated Second Major
Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Interdisciplinary Integrated Major
Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Mathematical Sciences and Economics
Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours)
Can I take one major first and then the second one later?
Yes, you can. You can take a Second Major after your first year of study. You will graduate with a degree in your First Major with your Second Major shown on your final transcript. You will also receive an additional certificate.
